Pilates at Physio-Medicine
Based on principles of breathing, concentration, control, centering, precision, flow, integrated isolation and routine, Pilates is a fitness system that seeks to increase the strength, flexibility and control of the body. Pilates was developed by Dr. Joseph Pilates, who seeked to combine the active, sporty nature of Western exercises such as aerobics with the more meditative practices of yoga.
Pilates are recommended to everyone who is interested in yoga and/or aerobics, it is a great stress relieving and vitalizing activity.
Pilates is an excellent way to improve your health and increase your flexibility and strength. Physio-Medicine runs several Pilates classes aimed at both individuals recovering an from injury and individuals looking to improve their conditioning. We keep our class sizes small to ensure one-to-one instruction, this way we can tailor the classes to your individual needs.
